How is it possible that your pastor and your church are coming up with all these lies? Even one of these happening just once is blasphemy. Following are teachings and practices that go against the Word of God, which God clearly warns of in Scripture. (This is just a partial list; hundreds of other examples could be given.)

1 Lifting up men and women rather than Jesus Christ alone

  • So-called head pastor – when Jesus alone is the Head Pastor
  • Assuming elders are “anointed” and “appointed of God” – when actually they’re just chosen by men
  • Men calling themselves rabbis or teachers (Mt 23:8)
  • Men being called fathers (Mt 23:9) and misusing the term priest
  • Men calling themselves leaders (Mt 23:10)

2 Front-loaded, instant salvation – which denies God’s process and final judgment

  • Once you say you’re saved, you say you’re always saved
  • Salvation by asking God/Jesus into your heart – men’s magic statement
  • Salvation by walking an aisle – men’s opinion
  • Salvation by saying a magic prayer – men’s assumption
  • The height of human arrogance – saying you’re going to heaven, and telling others that they’re going to heaven, when God alone is the Judge, not you
  • The height of human arrogance – declaring that others have gone to heaven and are seeing the face of God – when Scripture says there’s absolutely no man in heaven, currently, except for the Son of Man!

3 God loves you/me – which is putting God to the test

  • You think God’s love is unconditional – but He says wrong, it’s highly conditional
  • You think you don’t need to fear God, when He says to dread Him – why would you give up wisdom?
  • You think you’re special to God – but He thinks you’re special only if you understand and fully complete God’s process
  • You say that you and others are blessed, but don’t understand God’s blessings
  • You say “God made me this way,” when instead you should say “God made me” and get over it!
  • You look to God to meet your needs – to make you feel good (lust of flesh), obtain whatever you see (lust of eyes), and have your own way (boastful pride of life)
  • You trust in your own heart, but God says “The heart is more deceitful than all else and is desperately sick; who can understand it?” (Jer. 17:9)

4 Flattery (for sake of gaining an advantage)

  • Saying “God loves you” – when Scripture says God is loving you IF He gives and reveals His Word to you
  • Saying you’re “blessed” – when Scripture says you’re blessed IF you hear and do the Word of God

5 Rushing out to do ministry works, when the only ministry is speaking the gospel (the Word of God) in truth, and doing it

  • Incorrect understanding of “go” and “make disciples” – people NOT YET taught and trained by the Lord, but like Eve, rushing out to share their lies about God with others – not sent by God, but lie and say “God called me to do this or that”

6 Showing partiality

  • Catering to wealth – making decisions based on people’s wealth and position
  • Giving and accepting bribes and favors

7 Improper judgment

  • No discipline in the assembly – even though God insists on total Godly discipline
  • Failure to make Godly judgments on body discipline, as the Word commands
  • Saying “do not judge” – misrepresenting the Lord’s teaching on judgment; He says to judge righteously (John 7)
  • Judging according to flesh rather than Word
  • Judging the world (which the Word tells you not to do) instead of the assembly only (which the Word tells you emphatically to do)
  • Relying on eyes (looks nice), flesh (feels good), or “do it my way” (boastful pride of life)
  • Disorder – women teaching men (however, women can prophesy Christ)

8 Earthly stupor

  • Speaking in tongues either in babble or foreign languages, so that you think they’re of God – note: babble is not of God; however, real tongues is not what you think
  • Falling over and “slain in the Spirit” to give the false impression that God’s at work (when actually it’s just self or a different spirit at work)
  • “Holy laughter” in God’s house of mourning

9 Reviling angelic majesties

  • Casting out demons at this present time – though it stopped with the apostles
  • “We’re gonna kick Satan’s rear” attitude – you have no idea who you’re dealing with

10 Selling merchandise to people in what’s supposed to be an assembly for God

11 Publicly praying, giving money, and fasting – the Word says to do these in secret

12 Personal testimonies of self rather than testifying of Jesus Christ

13 Fleshly, earthly, worldly focused actions not based on Scripture – which have no chance of getting people to God

  • “God is telling me” to do certain worldly, earthly, fleshly things
  • Marriage counseling (fleshly counsel and ministry) – you won’t find this in Scripture
  • Prayer chains, prayer walks – you won’t find this in Scripture
  • Accountability groups – confessing fleshly sins instead of being accountable to God
  • Men discipling and disciplining men, instead of the Lord’s discipline and people being the Lord’s disciples (taught the Scriptures by Him as the One Teacher)
  • Being good in the flesh, fleshly morality – seen as more important than avoiding blasphemy of the Holy Spirit (spiritual sin), which is speaking and doing anything against the Word of God
  • Youth ministry – you won’t find this in Scripture
  • Thinking and testifying that your fleshly gifts and talents glorify God and bless men
  • So-called Christian music, radio, concerts, church choirs, music ministries – man’s music is of the line of Cain (Jubal, Gen. 4:21)
  • Art ministry – man’s art is of the line of Cain (Tubal-Cain, Gen. 4:22)
  • Carnie, circus-like performances that have nothing to do with God
  • Focusing on culture and politics – the apostles did not do this or promote this
  • Promoting fleshly reconciliation of man to man – instead of man repenting to be reconciled to God

14 Celebrating men’s holidays and traditions instead of remembering and glorifying God on the days that He wants to be exalted, His appointed times

  • Focusing on Christmas, Easter, Fat Tuesday, Lent, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Halloween, July 4th, Father’s Day, and Mother’s Day with no observance or any attention given to the Lord’s Appointed Times – Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Tabernacles

15 Worshiping and praying to so-called saints

16 Worshiping and praying to Mary

17 Worshiping and praying to angels

18 Child molesting – and as if that weren’t bad enough, no discipline for the perpetrators of these abhorrent crimes

19 Graven images

  • The cross symbol, “star of David,” ichthus/fish, crucifixes
  • Paintings, representations of Jesus – which Scripture forbids
  • Lifting up idols, crosses, icons, beads, images of Lord (merchandise)

20 Men’s incorrect handling of God’s Word

  • One liners, using only one line of Scripture to teach – not how God teaches
  • Teaching “line upon line” and “precept upon precept” – which God dislikes (Isa 28)
  • Squabbling over words
  • Giving importance to Greek and Hebrew
  • Poor Bible translations and so-called paraphrases
  • Urging you to look for yourself in the Scriptures rather than looking only to God for His understanding and revelation
  • Promoting men's seminaries, colleges, degrees, authorization, ordination, certification

21 Men teaching their own methods of understanding Scripture (“hermeneutics”), not God’s methods

  • You go to Bible commentaries rather than asking the Lord for understanding of His Word
  • Regarding men’s histories over God’s history in the Word (putting Josephus ahead of Genesis)
  • Cultural context – putting men’s way over God’s way
  • Thinking Jesus taught in parables to be more easily understood, when He says He spoke in parables to hide the truth from those who wouldn’t come to Him for understanding

22 Ear tickling

  • Men and women using fanciful stories and “homiletics” to teach you about God, so that you’ll swallow and eat it and have a wonderful time, when it actually will kill you

23 Promoting men’s wisdom

  • Men’s books about God
  • Men's philosophies
  • Men’s traditions
  • Men’s rote procedures
  • Men’s overall thinking
  • Psychobabble (worldly psychology)
  • Eastern influence

24 Men’s science

  • False ideas of creation and evolution – hope you get a “big bang” out of it!
  • False ideas of past cavemen and dinosaurs – men’s opinions
  • False ideas of future, aliens, and other planets – floating molecules forever

25 “Church authority”

  • Church and church leaders using their authority to disregard God’s Word
  • Thinking a teaching/doctrine is correct only when acceptable to the many, when God’s opinion is truth given to the few

26 Wrong attitude about the organized church

  • Thinking that Jews/Israel got it wrong but the church gets everything right and all the blessings
  • Thinking that the organized church is the Body – when God says to beware of the organized church and that it’s not the assembly of His few; read Revelation chapters 2-3 until you understand what He is saying
  • The idea that “no church is perfect,” so your church is okay – this is what the “many” say, not God’s “few,” who are being perfected by the Lord and should have super-high discipline
  • Thinking that the organized church is Spiritual Israel, when Spiritual Israel is the hidden “few” known as the “remnant”
  • Your attitude that the church does things right because they’re “anointed and appointed,” instead of you listening to the Lord’s opinion through Paul’s writings, Jude’s writings, James’ writings, Peter’s writings, John’s writings, and the Lord’s own lips, to beware of those coming into the church in whatever disguise to confuse and mislead
  • You think (and are always saying) that God’s Spirit is in the church – when actually His Spirit only operates with His Word in truth
  • Congregation names – thinking there is power in any name (such as the name of your church) other than the name of God

27 Focus on number of people

  • Thinking that large numbers signify God’s involvement – when really it’s the devil’s false church that Scripture promises to be large, the “many”; the organized church is just a part of the world of “many” – whereas God’s true body is “few” and hidden

28 Churches always erecting their buildings (high places)

  • You think church buildings are approved by God, even though God always speaks negatively about men’s buildings from the Tower of Babel to the end of Revelation
  • Not realizing that churches are “high places” on every street corner, as God said they would be, where men worship their own idols (men, men’s ways, men’s teachings)
  • Making pledges and vows – which the Lord says not to do
  • The only faction the organized church has ever “saved” are building contractors (and that only financially)

29 Focus on tithes

  • Tithing incorrectly – tithes highly regarded by televangelists and churches, but they do not understand tithing Scripturally
  • Referring to money as the planting of a seed, when God says the seed is His Word – you put money ahead of the Word of God

30 Forming different denominations, sects, factions

  • Not understanding that God allows so many false sects, denominations, and factions to exist so that He can show you His small assembly of the few (if you go to Him)

31 Predestination lies

  • You say you’re predestined to be saved, but the Scriptures teach that only Jesus is predestined, along with anyone found in Him (1Peter 1:20)
  • You say there’s nothing you can do to not be saved
  • You think you’re always where God wants you to be
  • You say that everything happens for a reason/purpose

32 Teaching that people are good

  • You think people are basically good, but Jesus said God alone is good
  • You think people can “stand in gap”, but God says there was no one to stand in the gap except Him

33 False “trinity” doctrine

  • You’re making an issue out of the so-called “trinity” when you don’t understand that there’s only one God or how God operates

34 False “communion” doctrine

  • You have “communion,” but you won’t eat His flesh (read the Word) or drink His blood (ask/pray for His Holy Spirit to reveal the Word)

35 Focus on the family, the fleshly

  • Your prayer focus is on you, your family, your church, and your wants, all of which are earthly-fleshly focused. God might grant your requests, as He did with Jabez who prayed for the three lusts, but you are receiving your reward in full unless you repent (Eccl 5:1-2; Mt 6:31-33).
  • You think that family and children are everything, and it’s okay to focus on them – and yet God says very little about children in Scripture, namely: you should (1) discipline the child and (2) get the child to Him
  • You chose a church based on your children (your flesh)
  • You think God cares about every detail of your life

36 Don’t need to know or understand God’s prophetic end times Scriptures

  • You say that no one knows the date or hour of the Lord's return – yet if He teaches you the Scriptures, He’ll alert you to the time and the season – and takes great pride in telling you that He declares the end from the beginning – yet you are unwilling to go to Him
  • You think the book of Revelation isn’t important – yet Revelation is a first-grade primer for opening the Word of God, which is the special blessing of Revelation
  • You cling to silly views like the “rapture,” which is a speculation of man – but you don’t know God’s Word about seals, trumpets, and bowls

37 Wrong attitude when hearing God’s real teaching of Scripture

  • You say things like “you’re so heavenly minded, you’re no earthly good” and “you’re over-spiritualizing” – when God’s teaching is to know spiritual/heavenly truths above all else, even though He teaches you not to exclude the earthly truths
  • You say it’s arrogant to boast in the true knowledge of God – yet God says it’s the only thing you can boast in (Jer 9; 1Cor 1:31; 2Cor 10:17)
  • When alerted to God’s Feasts (the Lord’s Appointed Times) you call the person alerting you “legalistic” – which actually is just fine, because God says His Feasts are the Law forever

38 Believing in men’s meanings of things in Scripture, rather than God’s meanings

  • You focus on men’s fellowship and social affairs, but don’t have time to center these gatherings on the Word of God, which is the Lord’s view of fellowship
  • Repentance – you need to change your attitude toward God and treat Him as alive, the One Teacher, and be a strict disciplinarian of the Word as taught by Him
  • Baptism – water baptism is being washed in the Word by the Lord, with His understanding of the Word
  • Love – hearing the Word of God, going to the Lord as the One Teacher, understanding and learning from Him alone, speaking and doing the Word accurately with discipline, and persevering with an attitude of self-denial
  • Faith – comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God
  • Brother – those who the Lord deems to be His
  • Praise and worship – should be the Words of God only, lifted high

39 Televangelism

  • Absolutely no televangelist or church pastor on TV knows who Jesus Christ really is or speaks correctly of Him (this opinion is given by those who have watched hundreds of hours of their teaching).

40 False view of the Law

  • People look into the Law and either disregard it or teach it as letter only, which is earthly and causes strife.

41 False “revival” doctrine

  • You think there’s going to be a “big revival” in the church, but this isn’t found in Scripture and couldn’t be true when God’s message in His Word is to “come out” of the church

42 False visions and false prophecy

  • You think you can speak things into being, you think apparitions and your dreams and visions are of God, and you say God spoke to you (when God’s Word says that, from the time of the apostles to the present day, these things do not and will not happen)
  • You look to Mayans, Hopis, Nostradamus, horoscopes, psychics, and other mediums and spiritists – which God says to avoid

43 Not teaching about the battle over the Word of God

  • You don’t think there’s any spiritual battle going on, when there has been a battle raging from the very beginning – a battle greater than the one over the body of Moses (Jude 1:9), and which splits families, friends, and neighbors
  • You don’t understand that the evil one masquerades as God among the “many”
  • You haven’t heard or been taught about the three lusts – why? because organized churches are promoting the three lusts (ear tickling, flattery, exalting men)
  • You haven’t heard or been taught about false teachers in the church – to prevent the false teachers in your church from exposing themselves
