God gives rebirth to Israel. Israel becomes a nation again. (May 14, 1948)

• Can a land be born in one day? Can a nation be brought forth all at once? (Isaiah 66:8)
• “I will cause you [Israel] to be inhabited as you were formerly.” (Ezekiel 36:11)

1948 to present
God regathers Jews/Israelites from the nations back to Israel.

• “For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands and bring you into your own land.” (Ezekiel 36:24)
• “Thus says the Lord God, ‘Behold, I will take the sons of Israel from among the nations where they have gone, and I will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land’” (Ezekiel 37:21)

1967
God restores Jerusalem to the Jews. (Six-Day War)

1967 to present
God makes Jerusalem a cause of contention.

• “Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around” (Zechariah 12:2)
• “I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.” (Zechariah 12:3)

1973
Yom Kippur War - Israel defeats coalition of Arab countries. (October 1973)

1989
Russian/Berlin Wall comes down. (November 9, 1989)
Russian Jews emigrate to Israel.

• “Therefore behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when it will no longer be said, ‘As the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt,’ but, ‘As the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of the north and from all the countries where He had banished them.’ For I will restore them to their own land which I gave to their fathers.” (Jeremiah 16:14-15)

Sixth Seal – the Northern Invasion

• Look for an invasion from the uttermost north against a re-gathered, prosperous, unguarded Israel, who are back from being scattered all over the world.
• Many nations gathered with the northern invader
• Destruction will hit all the isles and coastlands (the West), and the homeland of the invader literally destroyed.
• Men trying to hide themselves in mountains and rocks.
• The invading army will be destroyed, their weapons burned and used for fuel for seven years, and Israel will be burying the dead of the invading armies for seven months to cleanse the land, then have to hire people to bury the remaining bodies.
• Men all over the world will be warring. There will be fire and destruction everywhere, along with famine, pestilence, and earthquakes.
• You might recognize that this is the Battle of Hamon-gog, and it happened because, “My holy Name I shall make known.” (Ezek. 39:7)
• “And all the nations will know that the house of Israel … acted treacherously against Me.” (Ezek. 39:23)
• At this time, the sun will be black, the moon will turn blood red, and the stars will be falling from the sky.
• This might be a nuclear situation, because God will prevent the wind from blowing for a while, and men will be hiding in the caves and rocks.

Seventh Seal – transition period

• After this event (6th seal), there will be a time of continued warring, and also rebuilding to what’s coming next, with lots of movement and activity among nations.
• After a period of time, expect a temple in Jerusalem to be rebuilt, and a world leader to sign a peace agreement with Israel.

Trumpets and Bowls

• A third of the earth is burned with fire.
• A volcano erupting, destroying a third of the seas.
• A great comet or meteor, which will ruin a third of the rivers and fresh waters; let’s call it Wormwood.
• A third of the sun, moon, and stars to be darkened; and the sun won’t shine for a third of the day.
• During this time, the antichrist or world deceiver should be on the scene, heading up a ten-nation confederacy. Expect him to go to Jerusalem and put an end to the temple sacrifices.
• The Euphrates River will be dried up, and a 200-million man army, from the East, will come across the dry land toward Jerusalem, killing a third of all mankind as they come.
• The antichrist will come to Jerusalem, go into the temple, and declare himself to be God. All armies will be gathered to Jerusalem for Armageddon.
• At this time, the Lord Jesus will return, from east to west in the sky, like lightning.
