IMPORTANCE OF THE WORD –
THE WORD OF GOD MEANS EVERYTHING TO HIM…
WHO HE IS / His Name
- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)
- And He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called the Word of God. (Rev. 19:13)
- For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water (2Pet. 3:5)
- By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible. (Hebr. 11:3)
- And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. (Hebr. 1:3)
- For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebr. 4:12)
- Therefore putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls. (James 1:21)
- “He who rejects Me, and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.” (John 12:48)
- “He who is of God hears the words of God; for this reason you do not hear them, because you are not of God.” (John 8:47)
- And she had a sister called Mary, who moreover was listening to the Lord’s word, seated at His feet. (Luke 10:39)

- So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. (Rom. 10:17)

- But He said, “On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God, and observe it.” (Luke 11:28)
- But He answered and said to them, “My mother and My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.” (Luke 8:21)
- Jesus therefore was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine” (John 8:31)
- “You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.” (John 15:3)
- that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word (Eph. 5:26)
- Jesus therefore said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves.” (John 6:53)
- And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

- Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our abode with him.” (John 14:23)
- “He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.” (John 14:24)
- The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever. (Isa. 40:8)
- “BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD ABIDES FOREVER.” And this is the word which was preached to you. (1Pet. 1:25)
