Change your attitude regarding the Word of God

How do you treat the Word of God? Don’t underestimate the Bible, the 66 books...

God AUTHORED a book:

• all Scripture is inspired by God (2Tim 3:16)
• “the writing of truth” (Dan 10:21)
• To Moses: “Write down these words” (Exod 34:27)
• To Isaiah: “write it on a tablet … inscribe it on a scroll” (Isa 30:8)
• To Jeremiah: “Write all the words which I have spoken to you in a book.” (Jer 30:1)   “Take a scroll and write on it all the words which I have spoken to you” (Jer 36:2)
• To Habakkuk: “Record the vision and inscribe it” (Hab 2:2)
• To Daniel: “seal up the book” (Dan 12:4)
• To John: “Write in a book what you see” (Rev 1:11)   “Write therefore the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall take place after these things.” (Rev 1:19)   And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, “Write” (Rev 14:13)   And he said to me, “Write … These are true words of God.” (Rev 19:9)   “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” (Rev 21:5)

He can prove He AUTHORED THE BOOK:

• “He was explaining the Scriptures to us” (Luke 24:32)
• He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures (Luke 24:45)

You’RE SUPPOSED to “eat” God’s Book:

• “Open your mouth and eat what I am giving you.” (Ezek 2:8) “eat this scroll” (Ezek 3:1)   Then I ate it, and it was sweet as honey in my mouth. (Ezek. 3:3)
• “Go, take the book” (Rev 10:8) “Take it, and eat it; and it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.” (Rev 10:9)

His Book is your life:

• “LIVE … ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.” (Matt 4:4)
• “it is not an idle word for you; indeed it is your life.” (Deut 32:47)

His word (all 66 books) WILL JUDGE AT final judgment:

• I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it … and books were opened … and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books (Rev 20:11-12)
• “the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day” (John 12:48)
