And the serpent said to the woman, “You surely shall not die!” –Gen. 3:4
This same deadly lie is re-packaged today as:
- church people saying, “You’re fine, and that’s final.”
- “God loves you.”
- “You’re saved.”
- “You’re going to heaven.”
- “Your loved ones are in heaven.”
- “You are blessed.”
- “Receive Jesus into your heart.”
- “All you have to do is pray this prayer.”
- “All your sins – past, present, and future – are forgiven.”
- “Jesus died for you.”
- “God loves the sinner, but hates the sin.”
- “God’s love is unconditional.”
- “God is interested in every detail of your life.”
- “God has a plan for your life.”
- “The Bible is earthly principles for your life.”
- “Be a good person, and do good deeds.”
- “You know God.”
- “Become a Christian.”
- “You are fearfully and wonderfully made.”
- “You have eternal life.”
It’s no surprise that the people of the false church of Satan sound just like their father, the serpent and liar of old.
If you understood Revelation chapters 2 and 3, you wouldn’t trust what the churches are telling you. You would seek to overcome them and their thoughts and their words and their ways. They are preaching another Jesus. They are taking final judgment away from God, preaching from their own hearts. They have fallen for the same deception that Eve did.
