A letter to the organized church with help from the Book of Malachi

You are just as bad, or worse, than faithless Israel…

– You have despised the name of the Lord. You give lip service to the Lord’s name, the Word of God, but then you offer up what is blind, lame, and sick: the words, teachings, books, and distorted Bible interpretations of men. You despise His Word, disdainfully sniff at it, and offer men’s words through robbery. Thus God has no regard for your offering.

– You have turned aside from the Way. You call Jesus “Lord, Lord” but refuse to do what He says. You bow to graven images (cross), observe man-made days and seasons (Easter, Christmas), and fast, tithe, and pray in public to be seen by men. Instead of expelling the wicked man with proper judgment and discipline, you forgive all. Wicked church, how you refuse to do the Word of God! You only do what seems right in your own eyes! So you bear no fruit for God.

– You have robbed God. Yet you say, “How have we robbed Him?” All are supposed to be gathered to the One Father, Teacher, Shepherd, and Leader. But you only care about getting people to your churches and to your priests, pastors, teachers, so-called “fathers,” and leaders. Thus you scatter the sheep and rob God of His creation. So your offspring will be rebuked.

– You have spoken arrogant words against Him. To those who don’t know God and haven’t begun His process, you say “God loves you” and “you’re saved.” You also tell the arrogant “you’re blessed,” and say “you’re going to heaven” and “so-and-so’s in heaven/hell.” How arrogant you are! Final judgment belongs to God alone! You boast just like your father, the devil, who told Eve “you surely shall not die!” (Gen 3:4), and who boasted of himself, “I will ascend to heaven” (Isa 14:13). And you wrongly assume that God is no longer the harsh Judge He was in the Old Testament. He is!

Like unrepentant Israel, you have abandoned the proper wife of the covenant: the Word of God as taught by God. Instead, you have married the daughter of a foreign god: the words, teachings, and ways of men. So the Lord will spread on your faces the dung of your church services, take away your right to His kingdom, and speak words of wrathful judgment against you before setting you ablaze.

Scriptures regarding you, the organized church, so-called “Christians”:

“‘BUT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE PRECEPTS OF MEN.’” (Mt 15:9)

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and will turn aside to myths. (2Tim 4:3-4)

Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the immoral persons and the murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying. (Rev 22:15)  [lying about God]

“But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Rev 21:8)  [lie about God]

“You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature; for he is a liar, and the father of lies.” (Jn 8:44)

“‘I tell you, I do not know where you are from; DEPART FROM ME, ALL YOU EVILDOERS.’” (Lk 13:27)

“‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels’” (Mt 25:41)

“I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’” (Mt 7:23)
