REPENT = ???
What does repentance mean?
Repent = change your attitude toward God.
- Listen to God — not men.
- Care only what God thinks — not what men think.
- Learn the Bible from God — not men.
- Believe God — not men.
- Boast in God — not men.
- Fear God — not men.
Men are sheep, dust, grass, clay — mere creations. “Stop regarding man.” Is 2:22
God is Creator and greater!
“Thus says the LORD, Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind And makes flesh his strength, And whose heart turns away from the LORD.” Je 17:5
There is only One.
“One is your Father, He who is in heaven” Mt 23:9
“there is none good but One, that is, God” Mt 19:17
There is One Father, and He alone is good. Listen to and believe His voice in Moses and the Prophets, not the voices of men in the world.
“One is your Teacher” Mt 23:8
“one husband” 2Co 11:2
There is One Teacher. Learn the Bible from The Father and The Son, not men whose Bible interpretations are lies, legend, and leaven. The Word became flesh. Become one flesh with Him.
“there is ... one Lord” 1Co 6:8
“You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for I am” Jn 13:13
There is One Lord. Follow Him and His ways, not men — “whose breath is in their nostrils” Is 2:22 — and their ways.
HOW YOU TREAT THE WORD OF GOD IS HOW YOU TREAT GOD.
He is “the author and perfecter of faith” He 12:3
“receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls” Ja 1:21
Jesus of Nazareth is the WORD of God and the Lord God of Israel.
