When Jesus walked the earth…

When Jesus walked the earth, He was confronted by religious leaders and teachers (the Pharisees, Sadducees, scribes, and lawyers). If you lived then, would you have gone to temple, synagogue, assembly, classroom to hear these men who opposed God? Or would you have been one of the Eleven? Many are called. Few are chosen.

Today, nothing has changed. Men and women go to churches, synagogues, temples, religious teachers, leaders, and scribes (Christian writers), listening to men who oppose God, who tell you what they think of God’s words, way, will, and wisdom. And they do it without fear of God.

Let the witnesses of God in His Old and New Testaments speak His words, by His Spirit. And let Him reveal. Believe God and stop listening to men “whose breath is in their nostrils.” God, Himself, wants you to quit putting men between Him and you. Only one man, the Lord, is your Mediator and Intercessor. And the Lord Jesus is, was, and always will be the Lord God of Israel, the God of Moses, and the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He is the Word of God, the One Teacher who reveals, and the only One who can baptize you in the Holy Spirit.

For you who would choose men’s churches, read Revelation chapters 2 and 3. In the letters of the Lord to seven churches, He tells five to repent, and the other two, He calls the “synagogue of satan.” Then, at the end, regarding the churches, He is telling you that you need to overcome them. Listen to what the Spirit says, not men.

The Eleven were with the Lord daily, hearing the Word of God. Others heard Him from time to time. Many came to Him for healings, feedings, and signs, and some did deeds to help others. But Mary chose the good part. She focused on listening to the Word of God. Therefore, she knew what was coming, and anointed the Lord for His death. Death is coming again. Hear the Word of God, taught by God, and avoid the death taught by men.
